  5. How has arrival been going so far? It is extremely helpful when students arrive promptly at 8:15 or 9:15 so as to stay as close to schedule as possible. Dismissal occurs in the common room on regular school days. In the case of early dismissals, we dismiss from the great hall. If your child will be dismissing in a new way (i.e. new babysitter, carpool or playdate), please give written permission of such an event. Arrival and Dismissal

  6. Clothing that is easy to move in and in which students can manage when toileting is preferable. Remember that we will get messy! Sneakers are preferred to ensure safety around the classroom and outside. An extra change of clothes in school in case of spills or accidents is helpful. Clothing

  7. If your child is sick please report the absence to Joann Eckstein, our school nurse at 655-9666 ext. 4103. It’s also helpful to let the teacher know as we aren’t always made aware of calls made to the nurse. Sick?

  8. In the event of a delayed opening, ELP starts at 9:45 for ALL students and dismisses at 1:15 as usual. In the event of a weather related closing, all students dismiss at 11:00 am. Weather Related Delays and Closings

  9. In December, conferences will be held to discuss the CT Preschool Assessment Frameworks and progress. In March, conferences will be held with therapists for those students who receive therapies and otherwise by request. In June, conferences will be held to discuss CT Preschool Assessment Frameworks and progress. Conferences

  10. Volunteering is a great opportunity to get involved and observe your child in his/her classroom environment. There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer in the classroom. You can sign up tonight to read or help with an art project. Please choose only 1-2 slots so that all families who wish to can volunteer. We will also have classroom parties and events that all families will be invited to attend. Observations and classroom volunteers
