  1. Rudder’s Rangers Quad Assault 2011 “Concept of the Operation”

  2. Purpose: The Freshmen are in the process of choosing what clubs and organizations they would like to join as well as evaluating their option to join Army ROTC. Our goal is to stage a motivational demonstration in order to entice interest in our organization as well as service in the United States Army. • Tentative Date: September 6, 2011

  3. Brief Overview: The “mission” for the Rudder’s Rangers Quad Assault is a simulated HVT (high value target) capture. The event is designed to captivate the audience through adrenaline pumping action. In order to get the desired effect, we apply the use of weapons firing blanks, pyrotechnic explosions, and a motivated enemy force. This demonstration has been very effective in the past for our organization, which typically recruits about 150 members each year. The following slides are the step by step sequence of events for this years Quad Assault…

  4. Support Element will be in position on the roof to provide support Assault element will be broken into two teams and be on either side of the dorm hidden OPFOR will be conducting small patrols around the hide site with the HVT clearly visible. Throughout the entire demonstration, there is an audio dialogue so that the audience can follow the sequence of events, as well as cue certain actions.

  5. Once obj. is suppressed, Assault element will move tactically from behind the dorm and get on line, laying down additional fire on Obj. Support will initiate fire with a sniper team then provide suppressing fire OPFOR will return fire shortly but takes heavy casualties. HVT will retreat into bunker/house

  6. Support element will provide cover for Assault as they advance to Obj. Assault will bound across the field and assault the obj.

  7. Assault element will conduct actions on obj. and 360 security and seize HVT. Support will provide over watch on obj. Once HVT is secured Humvees will move in to extract HVT

  8. Assault element will move HVT to Humvees and begin to follow Humvees off Obj. Once HVT is being moved to Humvees, OPFOR QRF will begin to fire from dorm and move out on the Quad.

  9. Assault will use smoke and covering fire to cover their movement off obj. Support will re-engage OPFOR and provide covering fire. OPFOR will put up a medium defense and die off as ammo runs out.
