  1. Regents and Final Exam Review Do Now: Take out a calculator and reference tables.

  2. Intermolecular Forces • What are the different types of intermolecular forces? • What evidence exists that some compounds have stronger intermolecular forces than others?

  3. Lewis Dot Diagrams • How do we draw dot diagrams for elements such as H, Cl, or Xe? • How do we draw diagrams for compounds such as NaCl or H2O?

  4. Molarity • What is the formula for calculating molarity? • Calculate the molarity of a 2.5 liter solution that contains 116g of NaCl.

  5. Potential Energy Diagrams • Know the parts of a potential energy diagram.

  6. Collision Theory • What does collision theory state?

  7. Redox Reactions • Be able to write redox half reactions. • Example: Na + Cl  NaCl • Know how a voltaic cell works.

  8. Titration • What is the titration formula? • If a 10mL sample of HCl(aq) is completely neutralized by 50mL of 0.25M NaOH(aq) what is the molarity of the HCl(aq)?

  9. Chemical Reactions • Know how to write a chemical formula. • Example: Iron III Oxide • Example: Copper II Sulfide • Know how to balance an equation. • Example: H2 + O2 H2O • Remember the law of conservation of mass and energy. If it takes 4.0g of H2 to make 18g of H2O, how much O2 is used?
