  1. Eph 1(18) pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. The eyes and heart of Hope • Psalms 31(24) Be strong and let your heart take courage, All you who hope in the LORD. • Biblical Hope: The favorable and confidant expectation, the happy anticipation of good.

  2. Hope is the Bridge between Faith and Love • 1 Cor 13(13) But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love. • Heb 11(6) And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. • 1Th 1(3) constantly bearing in mind your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father.

  3. Faith working through love must be united with HOPE! Because Hope, by design, moves Faith toward a given destination, which is the Father's purposes manifested through His Love. dwj

  4. Hope positions the heart for the quality of life. Proverbs 4(23) Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. NLT Proverbs 13(12) Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but desire fulfilled is a tree of life. Jeremiah 29(11-13)For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek Me and find Mewhen you search for Me with all your heart.

  5. Hope is the helmet of salvation. 1Th. 5(8) But since we belong to the day, we must be serious and put the armor of faith and love on our chests, and put on a helmet of the hope of salvation. In biblical usage the heart is the seat of the intellect, will, and emotion. Romans 10(10) for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.(SOZO)

  6. The Battleground of Hope 2Cor 10(2-5)  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, 4 for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5We are destroying **speculations and every lofty (vain) thing raised up against the knowledge (gnosis) of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, **Lo-gē-smo's -imaginations Eph 6 (11&17) put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil, and take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

  7. Biblical Hope is a weapon of offense. Hebrews 4(12) For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 1 Cor 2(16) For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ. Col 1 (27b) "Christ in you the hope of glory."
