  3. The shooting star can have 1 or more reddish-brown or green stalks. Different shooting star variations can have a variety of flower colors, ranging from a serene white and a light pink to a light purple or a rosy pink. http://www.critterzone.com/animal-pictures-nature/flower-shooting-star.htm

  4. The shooting star thrives in dry to moist soil, mostly light clay and silt.

  5. The shooting star is native to Illinois, so it is accustomed to most Illini terrain.

  8. The shooting star blooms in late spring for around a month.

  9. The Shooting Star can grow to be from 1 to 3 feet tall.
