INTRODUCTION • Pakistan has an acute energy problem that requires increased domestic attention to the problem other than pursuit of regional and National solutions. • The promotion and implementation of Power Proficient and ecologically responsive structures can minimize the problems of Pakistan’s energy sector. • By adopting some of the solutions in addition to what government is pursuing, can reduce the problem.

PROBLEM • Growing population and diminishing energy resources are Pakistan’s major concerns • Pakistan’s peak energy requirement is 26,000 MW against which it is generating 6,600 MW through integral resource • Pakistan’s domestic need of electricity is increasing with its population and current domestic use is close to 55% of its energy requirement and is growing

  9. PROBLEM • At the time of discovery, reserves of natural gas of Sui were estimated to meet 100% energy requirements of Pakistan for over hundred years. We today have used up 75% reserves in 50 years • With growing energy shortage several Pakistan Industries have been shifted to Bangladesh and most are operating at 50% – 75% of their capacity

PROBLEM • If domestic energy requirements are taken off the national grid and this usage is shifted to meet the requirements of industry, agriculture, health and education sectors, Pakistan’s living standards can take a U turn • All Possible efforts to save Energy Resources can make Industry & Agriculture Sector to grow.
