  1. ICBC/010307/SH-MISC-WW(2000GB) China’s Manned Space Mission Show and tell Made by Alex and Lynn 2006/04/06

  2. ICBC/010307/SH-MISC-WW(2000GB) SZ-6 lands safely after successful mission • The re-entry capsule of China's Shenzhou-6 spacecraft, carrying taikonauts Fei Junlong and Nie Haisheng, landed on earth safely at 4:33 a.m. Monday, marking a "complete success" of China's second manned space mission.

  3. ICBC/010307/SH-MISC-WW(2000GB) China's "Long March" carrier rockets • With Shenzhou-5 spaceship blasted into space, China's "Long March" carrier rockets have created the 30th successful launch record in the history of China's space flight program since 1996. • Developed by China on its own, the "Long March" carrier rocketsfall into four series with 12 models. They are China's major carrier rockets in its space flight program.

  4. ICBC/010307/SH-MISC-WW(2000GB) Photoes

  5. ICBC/010307/SH-MISC-WW(2000GB) Figures: Shenzhou-6 • 8 -- Eight meters Eight tons • 9 -- Nine cubic meters • 13 -- 13 subsystems

  6. ICBC/010307/SH-MISC-WW(2000GB) The orbiting process of ShenZhou 6

  7. ICBC/010307/SH-MISC-WW(2000GB) Figures: Shenzhou-6 • 21 -- 21degrees Celsius • 60 -- noise 60 decibel • 90 -- 90 minuets to orbit the earth • 680,000 km per day • 28,333 km per hour • 7,870 m per second • 52 -- The spaceship has 52 engines

  8. ICBC/010307/SH-MISC-WW(2000GB) Figures: Shenzhou-6 • 235 -- 235 seal rings • 300 -- cables 300 kg 30 km • 343 -- 343 km away from the Earth • 400 km the international space station; • 600 -- 600 equipment units • 100,000 -- 100,000 spare parts and components

  9. ICBC/010307/SH-MISC-WW(2000GB) Oxygen, water, food consumed by Shenzhou-6 astronauts • Oxygen, water and food are three crucial elements to sustain human life. For the two astronauts aboard China's Shenzhou-6 spacecraft, these vital supplies are well guaranteed

  10. ICBC/010307/SH-MISC-WW(2000GB) Figures of space flights and SZ6 • 1/3 -- Human safety one third of software • for emergency life support and rescue; • 8 -- eight escape and rescue modes • 56 -- 56 engines • craft orbiting attitude control • reverse thrust landing; • 85 -- accuracy of over 85 %, • predict weather conditions

  11. ICBC/010307/SH-MISC-WW(2000GB) Figures of space flights and SZ6 • 300 -- China has trained, in seven batches, more than 300 women pilots between 1951 and 2005. • 351 -- Fei Junlong, one of the two Chinese taikonauts, made four flips on Oct. 14 afternoon when the spacecraft was orbiting at 7.8 km per second, which means he practically traveled 351 km in each flip; • 1,600/20 -- On the way back to Earth, the exterior temperature of the Shenzhou-6 capsule will go up to 1,600 degrees Celsius while its interior remains at about 20 degrees Celsius; • 5,700 -- Human being had launched more than 5,700 satellites, manned spacecraft and space probes by the end of 2004;
