The Eternal Glory of Jesus Christ 7 Glories (Hebrews 1.2 – 3): • Appointed heir of all things • By whom God made the worlds • The brightness of God’s glory • The express image of God’s person • Upholds all things by the Word of God’s power • By Himself purged our sins • Sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high

Appointed Heir of All Things Predestined Lord of the universe • John 3.35 – The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand. • Ephesians 1.22-23 – And He has put all things under His feet. • Philippians 2.9 – 11 Everything belongs to Christ – including you & me He has been appointed Heir – not yet fulfilled

  9. Upholds All Things by the Word of God’s Power Christ speaks and it is done! • Colossians 1.17 – And He is before all things and in Him all things consist. • Matthew 8.23 – 27 – Even the winds and the sea obey Him.

  10. By Himself Purged Our Sins This is why He came • Isaiah 53.5 – he was purged in our place. • Psalm 51.7 – purge me, wash me with His blood. • Hebrews 9.22 – Without shedding of blood there is no remission (forgiveness). • “It is finished” • John 17.4 – “I have glorified You”

  11. Sat Down on the Right Hand of The Majesty on High • He deserved a rest! • He deserves His place and position. • He deserves glory – our glorification of Him. • Philippians 2.9 - 11 • Revelation 4.10 -11 WHERE DO YOU STAND?
