  4. The symbol was called by many different names. • China-wan • England-fylfot • Germany-hakenkeuz • Greece- tetraskelion and ganmadion • India and the nazis called it swastika.

Facts about the swastika: • beginning of the nineteeth century-the-swastika was a common symbol of german. • Swastika is a symbol of prosperity and good fortune and is widely diperesed in both the ancient and modern world. • The word swastika as derived from the sanskritmeans,conducive to well being . • The swastika is anequilateral cross wit its arms bent at right angles in either right facing form or its mirrored left –facing form .
