People believe that organizing and informing essential documents can wait, i.e., doctor information, health insurance, and other important documents. Preplanning and having your essential documents in order will be valuable to those responsible for your care. Owning or considering a long-term care plan is a part of your estate planning, along with being prepared with where to find your important documents. There is no requirement that collecting your important information needs to be done with haste. I have found it helpful to collect my information and organize it incrementally in my filing cabinet and cloud digital information.
