  2. Overview • EN 50366 • Comparison ELT-400 • Competitive Instruments • USPs • Success Stories with ELT-400 • New 3 cm² Probe • Roadmap ELT-400

  3. EN 50366 Requirements ELT-400 compliance to EN 50366 EN 50366

  4. EN 50366 requirements (1) • Legal situation: • EN 50366 is ready, last signature has been done by the end of 2004. Now it's law without transitional period. • Each manufacturer looking for CE approval has to check against EN 50366. And the easiest check is the measurement with ELT-400.

  5. EN 50366 requirements (2) • Scope: • Electric and magnetic field around household electrical appliances • Measuring methods (only magnetic fields): • 10 Hz to 400 kHz • Isotropic measurement with 100 cm² probe • Reference method: Time domain evaluation • Measurement uncertainty: • less than 25 %

  6. ELT 400 meet EN 50366 standard • Requirements • according to • EN 50366: • 10 Hz – 400 kHz • 100 cm² probe • Evaluation based on • time domain • < 5 % • 1 sec. • < 2 sec. • Frequency range: • Measuring probe: • Reference measuring • Method: • Intrinsic noise: • Averaging time: • Settling time: • Features of • ELT-400 • (1…) 10 Hz – 400 kHz • 100 cm² probe (isotropical) • Direct transfer (through • Shaped Time Domain STD) • typical 0,4 % • 1 sec. • ca. 1 sec.

  7. ELT-400 compliant to EN 50366

  8. ELT-400 Competition

  9. pole position Unique Selling Points ELT-400 • Frequency range: • 1 Hz – 400 kHz • Broadband field strength measurements: • Extended meas. range (up to 80 mT) • Direct indication in Tesla • STD - Simple evaluation of magnetic fields: • Unique implementation of reference method • Direct indication as weighted result in % • Active 3-channel probe: • Display signal shapes on a separate oscilloscope, FFT analyzer • Handling: • Simple operation and rugged housing • Battery power • 100 cm2 probe: • Standards-compliant • Stipulated for inhomogeneous fields • 3 cm² probe: • Standards-compliant • only Probe on the Market
