Promote the development of library collections to include Spanish-language and Latino oriented materials. • Recruits more bilingual and bicultural library professionals and support staff. • Work on the development of library services and programs that meet the needs of the Latino community. • Awards a number of scholarships to library school students that express interest in working with Latinos. • Provide information about the latest developments in library services to Latinos.

  3. Orange County Chapter • Celebrating 30 years. • The chapter is dedicated to the improvement of library and information services in Southern California. • Provide our own scholarships for students attending library school. • META (Goal) Mentoring, Educating, Training, Advising.

  4. Orange County Chapter META: • Designed to recruit, encourage and support bilingual and /or bicultural individuals in the SJSU School of Library and Information Science. The program will: • Provide you with individual guidance from a practicing librarianEnable you to learn more about the library profession • Foster and promote the development of library service to the Latino community

  5. Orange County Chapter Members: • Participate in our meetings. • Participate as a member of committees. • Receive REFORMA’s newsletter. • Receive information from other librarians.
