  1. Thanksgiving on Top of the World. Well, Colorado at least! Hey look, a snow tornado. Windy?? Nah!

  2. The Mighty Explorers. (In search of frostbite)

  3. I just put on these 8 layers of winter clothes for the picture. Hey look, another snow tornado!

  4. I’m trying to act like the 65 lbs on my back is a good thing! Why yet another snow tornado! We are so lucky to see so many…

  5. Sunset at 3:40 pm. I’m sure these winds will die off soon… Get ready for freeze-dried Turkey Tetrazini!

  6. Casey digging our home for the night.

  7. Nice and comfy! At least until the ceiling collapsed and I couldn’t move my arms or legs and had to be dug out.

  8. It’s so cozy the snot never thawed. My side never collapsed. Look at all the headroom!

  9. Our view for most of the hike toward the peak (we got up at 1:00 am to get an early jump on things)

  10. Brian, the next time you have one of your “great ideas” you better watch out for this ax flying toward your head.

  11. Come on up Casey. I have a nice solid anchor with my crampon against the icy cliff!

  12. Before the hike: “Casey, I checked the weather. It’s supposed to be great today.” At this point: “Casey, now that I got you up here I can tell you the real weather report. They’re predicting really heavy snow!”

  13. This blizzard sucks. I’m giving you the “middle finger of the ice ax” salute!!

  14. Our crampon repair kit (Iowa license plate and fencing wire). Worked like a charm! Back to toasty Nederland, where we can thaw out 140 pounds of gear by the fire

  15. The End!
