  5. Self Portrait in the Workshop • While working in the factory, he achieved his first success and became known as a portrait painter in the aristocracy.

  6. Witches in the Air • After a series of serious diseases he became deaf. • He continued to paint portraits and frescos, but his style became more unique. • He began to use his art to reproduce the turbulent war scenes that he himself had lived through.
