  1. Rule-Based Strategy My grandmother planted peas, corn, tomatoes, and cucumbers on a sunny, April day. It was 11:00 in the morning and my grandfather was mowing the lawn. Grandma planted 5 pea pods, 2 corn stalks, 3 tomato bushes, and 2 cucumber seeds. After a week, 3 pea pods and 3 corn stalks began to grow. How many pea pods did not grow?
