  2. Mission Statement • Provide technology evaluation and testing services to the Internet 2 community. The two main constituencies are: • The Abilene NOC – the lab responds to issues raised by the NOC involving code and functions currently deployed in Abilene. • Internet 2 Engineering – the lab provides an environment for testing new code and features before they are deployed in Abilene. Upcoming Plans • Increase size of test bed to develop parallel testing capabilities • Improve the lab infrastructure to provide a more efficient environment for both local & remote testing • Increase the size of the lab staff to better service requests from the Abilene NOC and I2 Engineering John P.
