  21. REMBER: temperature is defined as the AVERAGE kinetic energy. Some molecules have more, some have less, hence “AVERAGE”

  22. AIM: What are Freezing Point and Boiling Point? Evaporation usually occurs at the surface of a liquid. The liquid molecules gain enough kinetic energy so that they escape into the air. That is why an opened bottle of perfume will spread through out a room! Where do you think evaporation occurs more often? They vibrate less

  30. AIM: What are Freezing Point and Boiling Point? Let’s say you had a hunk of rock. Say a hunk of granite rock. Does everyone know what granite looks like? What phase of matter is a rock of granite? Does granite have a Melting Point? Will it ever turn into a liquid?
