August 1, 2014: 2013-2014 Annual Reports • These contain unaudited FY14 financial statements and approved school budget for FY15. • November 1, 2013: FY13 Independent Financial Audits • This is filed both in hard copy and electronically via the secure portal. • November 27, 2013: 13CSEOYFR • This is filed both in hard copy and electronically via the secure portal. Electronic submission to the Department of Education via the Charter School File Exchange Drop Box in the ESE Security Portal. • One (1) electronic copy of the completed audit report (including management letter, if applicable) in PDF format. • One (1) electronic copy of the 13CSEOYFR. This year, all documents will be submitted to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education only in electronic form via upload to the Charter School File Exchange Drop Box in the ESE Security Portal (Instructions: ). We will not be collecting hard copies this year. Please be sure to submit the following documents, as applicable. • The completed audit report in PDF format. Please label this file FY13audit_#### (where #### represents the school’s 4-digit LEA code).   9. The Report will include 8 data-entry worksheets: 1. Balance Sheet: Statement of Net Assets 2. Income Statement: Statement of Revenues, Expenses, and Changes in Net Assets 3. Sch_FuncExp: Schedule of Functional Expenses 4*. Surplus Determination: Calculates surplus carryover *New this year Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education

For grant compliance testing and the A-133 $500,000 single audit threshold (possible increase pending) • Federal revenue sources • Federal grants, MAESE pass-through and direct from the federal government; • Federal USDA nutrition reimbursements. • REVENUES reported on the Income statement should match EXPENDITURES as reported in the Sch_FuncExp.
