  3. Roadmap GRI NW - Goal • Working towards a common “end-game” • Higher Return on Effort • Improved project management approach • Generate sufficient High Level commitment • Focus on practical issues • Avoid duplication of on-going work • Stepping stone to European internal market

  4. Roadmap GRI NW - Results • Focus on only three main priorities in 2008 • Capacity • Transparency • Investment • Strengthen Regional decision making • RCC+ (linking into ERGEG and Agency) • Regional TSO cooperation (linking into GTE+) • Different approach: Projects and programme board

  6. Role of Programme Board • Generating High-Level commitment • Programme Management • Monitoring Process • Bridging the communication between stakeholders • Addressing problems at the appropriate level

Role of RCC • A step up from the RCC’s current role • A platform where information is shared, common views are developed and decisions concerning cross-border issues are discussed and where possible aligned • More efficient: allow RCC+ to focus on regional regulatory issues less on facilitating the process as well • As an intermediate solution in anticipation of European Agency overseeing developments and link to ERGEG and process to European internal market

  8. Role of IG • IG meetings with operators and RCC should still take place on strategic issues. • IG needs to approve of new actions, project plans and everything that we ask of them! • Day to day issues can be picked up with programme office

  9. Programme Office - Work • Day-to-day management GRI NW • Programme Board Support • Project Management Support • Liason with stakeholders • Communication • SG, IG, RCC and workshops facilitation • Research and papers for RCC and Programme board

Next steps • All revised projectplans with project register will be available on Monday September 1 • Programme Board will discuss these with projectmanagers at meeting September 5 • E-mail will be send out by PO week after to IG on outcome discussion September 5 with project plans (possibly again revised) and call for resource • IG members will react to individual projectmanagers on issues in projectplans and resource offers • 15 October IG and projectmanagers will meet to finalize details of projects • Possible RCC meeting after this? • PB meeting 30 October to discuss all project plans and make sure all pending issues have been picked up with suggestions for actions
