THREE CHALLENGES Older women, likewise, are to be reverent in their behavior … teaching what is good, that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind … that the word of God may not be dishonored. Titus 2:3-5 • … A new supreme pursuit:From home to career • … The decline of traditional feminine values • … The rise of the Absent Mom

  4. IF DAD IS THERE … • They are very secure in theiridentity as a woman. • They easily relate to the opposite sex. • They often have a highly fulfilling sex life with their husband.

  5. IF DAD IS NOT THERE … • They develop personalities that are insecure, anxious, and have difficulty in forming healthy relationships with men. • OR … they become inappropriately self-assertive, angry, promiscuous.

  6. WHAT CAN DAD DO? • Establish, with his wife, a clear definition of what it means to be a real woman.

  7. A REAL WOMAN … • REJECTS worldly temptations for significance (Genesis 3) • BELIEVES IN God’s prioritiesOlder women, teach the younger women “to be sensible …” Titus 2:5 • NURTURES THE next generation • EXPECTS God’s greater reward

  8. WHAT CAN DAD DO? • Establish, with his wife, a clear definition of what it means to be a real woman. • Help Mom stay home with the children, especially in their critical, formative years. • Support, honor, and cheer for true feminine values in his wife and daughters.

  9. WHAT CAN DAD DO? • Date his daughters and stayinvolved in their lives on a personal level. • Encourage and participate in ceremonies celebrating true femininity.
