Summary of Epilogue • The pilot who arrived so abruptly in the lake was a hide purchaser mapping Cree trapping camps for future purchasing runs drawn by Brian when he unwittingly turned on the crisis transmitter and left it going. At the point when the pilot saved Brian he had been distant from everyone else on the L formed Lake for fifty four days. Nourishment, all sustenance, even sustenance he didn't prefer, never lost its ponder for him. The two sorts of rabbits were snowshoes and cottontails; the foolbirds were ruffed grouse (additionally called nitwit hens by trappers, for their ineptitude); the little nourishment fish were bluegills, sunfish, and roost; the turtle eggs were laid by a snapping turtle, as he had thought; the wolves were timber wolves, which are not known to strike or trouble individuals; the moose was a moose. They were not bad dreams, none of them were alarming, however he would stir on occasion with them; simply stir and sit up and think about the lake, the woods, the blaze around evening time, the night feathered creatures singing, the fish hopping sit oblivious alone and consider them and it was not terrible and would never be awful for him.
