  2. Clearwater Mall and RoundTable is once again hosting this great event. So all new and past racers…..register, suit up and start training for the 2012 event. This year the race is bigger and better

  3. What is the Trolley Race? The essence……. It is a shopping trolley race and each trolley is raced by 4 people between 2 points. Three people are the runners pushing the trolley and the fourth person is the pilot and must be seated in the trolley during the race.

  4. What is the Trolley Race? • The trolley race entrance fee is R500 per trolley and the money collected is for the charity fund of Round Table Roodepoort 162 club. The Charity fund is used to support our 2 main nominated charities, the Gateway Society and Matla a bana. • The trolleys race around Clearwater Mall in a pre- selected demarcated route through the parking areas. • The route is about 3km with a water point halfway. • There are prizes for • 1st position trolley • 2nd position trolley • 3rd position trolley • Best decorated trolley • Best team spirit • Wooden spoon

Trolley decoration • Trolley race participants will receive trolley dimensions of their race trolley on registration. • The trolleys may be decorated on race day in anyway a trolley racer sees fit like company branding or just decorated for fun or none at all. The trolley dimensions will assit if some pre- planning and design wants to be done to allow strapping onto the trolley on race day

What happens to the money raised? • The money raised goes into the Round Table Roodepoort 162 Charity account. • The main beneficiaries of the account is the Gateway Society, which administers the Gateway Village and the Gateway school, and Matla a bana an abused children’s charity. • www.gatewaysociety.co.za • www.matlaabana.co.za

  9. What is RoundTable • Who is RoundTable? • ARTSA - the Association of Round Tables in Southern Africa - consists of all the Round Tables of Lesotho, Namibia and South Africa.
