  1. Design Of Water Distribution Network Of Misilyah Village Using EPANET Prepared by: Fatima Hirzallah & Heba Abu Jaber

  2. The importance of water distribution network To facilitate the process of providing consumers with clean water. Provide quantity that suit their needs and control the quality of this water because the presence of this network ensure unpolluted water and access to consumers with best quality.

  3. Objectives Design a service reservoir for Misilyah village. Design the water distribution network for the village of Misilyah using EPANET

  4. Study areaGeographical Location • Misilyah is a Palestinian village in the West Bank, located 14 km in the South-east of Jenin city in the north of the West bank.

  5. Geographical location

  6. Climate : • Hot and dry in summer and cool and rainy in winter • The temperature of the air is moderate • it has an average of 20.3 C

  7. Rainfall Rainfall = 52.8 mm

  8. Methodology: 1- collecting information and reliable data. 2- Drawing network using AutoCAD.

  9. Drawing the Network

  10. 3- Convert the network into EPANET. 4- Calculations using both Excel & GIS

  11. Population using Excel

  12. Conversion into GIS

  13. Thiessen Polygon Areas

  14. 5- Make EPANET run. 6- Problems such : -ve pressures , having nodes pressure head which less than acceptable(20m). 7- Solving above problems & make successful run.

  15. Design Constrains: 1- Velocities range (0.3 – 2) m/s. 2- Pressure head above 20m.

  16. - ve pressure problem

  17. Changing Nodes Diameters

  18. Final Shape

  19. Results: 1- Pipes diameters such : 6`` & (1-4)``. 2- Velocities & pressures are both within the acceptable range.
