  2. Why “Lets Stay Put?” The purpose of the program is to encourage families to stay put in one school for at least the full school year. By working together as a community to encourage families to ‘stay put’, we can ensure that the educational and social outcomes for our young learners are significantly improved.

Role of the Mobility Support Teacher • organising the new enrolments • contacting parents after two weeks of enrolment to discuss how the student/s has settled; • linking parents and students with community organisations for additional support; and; • supporting students in moving schools • exit interviews • gathering and recording mobility data for JCU • teacher release for testing • diagnostic testing of student to cater to their learning needs

  6. Testing to identify students needs • Diagnostic testing including Bandscale of Aboriginal and TSI students to identify their learning needs

  7. Communities • Community awareness and support
