  1. Twinkie Diet By: Nick Hicks and Grant Andrews

  2. What is the Twinkie Diet? In 2010, Mark Haub, a professor at the Kansas State University, went on a diet that consisted of having a sugary treat every three hours. These treats included Twinkies, Nutty Bars, Swiss Rolls, Oreos, Doritos, and sugary cereals (he also consumed multivitamin pills, protein drinks and vegetables). This diet does not include exercise.

  3. Pros • Bad cholesterol percentage dropped while his good cholesterol percentage increased. • Body fat decreases about 10%

  4. Cons • Could give you Diabetes • Doesn't promote exercise • Lack of fruit and dairy products

  5. Opinion on Diet Although this diet helps you lose weight, it does not contain the essential nutrients that are needed to be healthy.

  6. Vitamins and Minerals The junk food consumed did not contain many vitamins or minerals, however the multivitamin pills and protein shakes provide these essential nutrients.
