  1. BUDDHIST THANGKA EXHIBITION Immerse yourself in the sacred and artistic world of Tibetan art during the Vesak celebrations. The Nepalese Thangka exhibitors are here again with many and more wonderful pieces of very beautiful and intricate Thangka Paintings by the Lamas and Newari painters from the Kathmandu valley in Nepal. They are renowned for their fine paintings for many centuries. Thangka paintings on display include pieces by various Master painters like Som Bahadur Lama, Sunu Lama, Sagar Lama and Bikash Lama, to name a few.The gallery of paintings includes Sakyamuni Buddha, Guru Padmasambhava aka Guru Rinpoche, Vajrasattva, 1000 Arms & 4 Arms Avaloketishvara (Cherenzi), Medicine Buddha, Zhambala(for wealth), Green Tara and 21 Taras, Amitabha/Amitayus, The Wheel of Life, Mandalas, wrathful deitiesMahakala, Yamantaka, Vajrakilaya, and many more. Tibetan Buddha statues & singing bowls will be available too. Thangkas are Tibetan Paintings used for spiritual practices or displayed as art. As an object of devotion,and a source ofblessings, a Thangka usually portrays the Buddha, Bodhisattva, Meditational Deity, Great Teachers and Mandalas. All items can be purchased at the exhibition and part of the sales proceeds goes to the Buddhist Library.
