School Improvement Plan • Reading Strategies • Continue effective reading instruction and practices using RSN (all students) • Leveled Readers and supplemental resources (advanced students) • Ticket to Read (all students – gains) • Title 1 Reading Service during and after school (struggling readers and Econ. Disadv.) • Provide ELL instructional support with ESOL Assistant (ELL students) • Provide instructional support by ESE instructors (SWD)

School Improvement Plan • Writing Strategies • Title 1 Writing in-service for parents of 4th and 5th grade students • Continue DBQs to focus on writing in Social Studies curriculum • Writing coach provides 2 hours of writing instruction per week in 4th grade classes • Writing coach provide periodic writing prompts to 4th grade teachers for progress monitoring
