Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers

1. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

2. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers اِلٰهِىْ My Allah

3. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers قَصُرَتِ الْاَلْسُنُ عَنْ بُلُوغِ ثَنَآئَكَ كَمَا يَلِيْقُ بِجَلَالِكَ tongues fall short of attaining praise of Thee proper to Thy majesty,

4. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَ عَجَزَتِ الْعُقُوْلُ عَنْ اِدْرَاكِ كُنْهِ جَمَالِكَ intellects are incapable of grasping the core of Thy beauty,

5. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَ انْحَسَرَتِ الْاَبْصَارُدُوْنَ النَّظَرِ اِلٰى سُبْحَاتِ وَجْهِكَ eyes fail before gazing upon the glories of Thy face,

6. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَلَمْ تَجْعَلَ لِلْخَلْقِ طَرِيْقًا اِلٰى مَعْرِفَتِكَ اِلاَّ بِالْعَجْزِ عَنْ مَعْرِفَتِكَ and Thou hast assigned to Thy creatures no way to know Thee save incapacity to know Thee!

7. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers اِلٰهِىْ فَاجْعَلْنَا مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ My Allah, place us among those

8. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers تَرَسَّخَتْ اَشْجَارُ الشَّوْقِ اِلَيْكَ فِىْحَدَآئِقِ صُدُوْرِهِمْ within the gardens of whose breasts the trees of yearning for Thee have taken firm root

9. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَ اَخَذَتْ لَوْعَةُ مُحَبَّتِكَ بِمَجَامِعِ قُلُوْبِهِمْ and the assemblies of whose hearts have been seized by the ardour of Thy love!

10. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers فَهُمْ اِلٰى اَوْ كَارِ الْاَفْكَارِ يَا وُونَ They seek shelter in the nests of meditation,

11. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَ فِىْ رِيَاضِ الْقُرْبِ وَ الْمُكَـاشَفَةِ يَرْتَعُوْنَ feed upon the gardens of nearness and disclosure,

12. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَ مِنْ حِيَاضِ الْمَحَبَّةِ بِكَاسِ الْمُلَاطَفَةِ يَكْرَعُوْنَ drink from the pools of love with the cup of gentle favour,

13. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَ شَرَايِعَالْمُصَافَاتِ يَرِدُوْنَ and enter into the watering-places of warm affection

14. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers قَدْ كُشِفَ الْغِطَآءُ عَنْ اَبْصَارِهِمْ The covering has been lifted from their eyes

15. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَانْجَلَتْ ظُلْمَةُ الرَّيْبِ عَنْ عَقَآئِدِهِمْ وَ ضَمَآئِرِهِمْ the darkness of disquiet has been dispelled from their beliefs and their innermost minds,

16. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَانْقَنَتْ مُخَالِجَةُ الشَّكِّ عَنْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ وَ سَرَآئِرِهِمْ the contention of doubt has been negated from their hearts and their secret thoughts,

17. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَانْشَرَحَتْ بِتَحْقِيْقِ الْمَعْرِفَةِ صُدُوْرُهُمْ their breasts have expanded through the verification of true knowledge,

18. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَ عَلَتْ لِسَبْقِ السَّعَأدَةِفِىْ الزِّهَادَةِ هِمَمُهُمْ their aspirations have ascended through precedent good fortune in renunciation,

19. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَ عَذُبَ فِىْ مَعِيْنِ الْمُعَامَلَةِ شِرْبُهُمْ their drinking is sweet from the spring of devotion to good works,

20. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَ طَابَ فِىْ مَجْلِسِ الْاُنْسِ سِرُّهُمْ their secret thoughts are delicious in the sitting-place of intimacy,

21. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَ اَمِنَ فِىْ مَوْطِنِ الْمَخَافَةَ سِرْبُهُمْ their minds are secure in the place of terror,

22. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَاطْمَاَنَّتْ بِالرُّجُوْعِ اِلٰى رَبِّ الْاَرْبَابِ اَنْفُسُهُمْ their souls are serene through the return to the Lord of lords,

23. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَ تَيَقَّنَتْ بِالْفَوْزِ وَالْفَلَاحِ اَرْوَاحُهُمْ their spirits have reached certitude through triumph and prosperity,

24. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَ قَرَّتْ بِالنَّظَرِ اِلٰى مَحْبُوْبِهِمْ اَعْيُنُهُمْ their eyes have been gladdened through gazing upon their Beloved,

25. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَاسْتَقَرَّ بِاِدْرَاكِ السُّؤْلِ وَ نَيْلِ الْمَأمُوْلِ قَرَارُهُمْ their settling place has been settled through reaching the request and attaining the expectation,

26. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَ رَبِحَتْ فِىْ بَيْعِ الدُّنْيَا بِالْاٰخِرَةِ تِجَارَتُهُمْ and their commerce has profited through the sale of this world for the next!

27. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers اِلٰهِىْ My Allah,

28. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers مَا اَلَذَّ خَوَاطِرَ الْاِلْهَامِ بِذِكْرِكَ عَلَى الْقُلُوْبِ how agreeable for hearts are the thoughts inspiring Thy remembrance,

29. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَمَا اَحْلَى الْمَسِيْرَ اِلَيْكَ بِالْاَوْهَامِفِى مَسَالِكِ الْغُيُوْبِ how sweet travelling to Thee through imagination upon the roads of the unseen worlds,

30. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَ مَا اَطْيَبَ طَعْمُ حُبِّكَ how pleasant the taste of Thy love,

31. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَمَا اَعْذَبَ شِرْبَ قُرْبِكَ how delightful the drink of Thy nearness!

32. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers فَاَعِذْنَا مِنْ طَرْدِكَ وَ اِبْعَادِكَ So give us refuge from Thy casting out and Thy sending far,

33. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَ جْعَلْنَا مِنْ and place us among

34. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers اَخَصِّ عَارِفِيْكَ the most elect of Thy knowers,

35. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَ اَصْلَحِ عِبَادِكَ the most righteous of Thy servants,

36. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَ اَصْدَقِ طَآئِعِيْكَ the most truthful of Thy obeyers,

37. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers وَ اَخْلَصِ عُبَّادِكَ the most sincere of Thy worshipers!

38. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers يَا عَظِيْمُ يَا جَلِيْلُ O All-mighty, O Majestic,

39. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers يَا كَرِيْمُ يَا مُنِيْلُ O Generous, O Endower!

40. Munajaat #12- The Whispered Prayers of the Knowers بِرَحْمَتِكَ وَ مَنِّكَ يَآ اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ. By Thy mercy and kindness, O Most Merciful of the merciful!
