  1. Honor Defined In the Old Testament a weighty presence, dignity, value, a precious possession, ornamental splendor, glorious, magnificence, extreme greatness, and beauty.

  2. Honor Defined In the New Testament to value, to prize, to revere, glory, dignity, to esteem in the highest degree, to hold in the highest regard, to show respect, a precious valuable.

  3. Who Receives Honor? 1) Your father and mother. 2) Those ordained to serve in the God’s kingdom. 3) The elderly and the aged. 4) Civil rulers. 5) Prophets and five-fold ministries. 6) One another. 7) Less honorable parts we treat with special honor. 8) Apostolic representatives of the churches. 9) Those who sacrifice and risk much for the work of Christ. 10) Elders who direct the affairs of the church well. 11) Those whose work is preaching and teaching. 12) Those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord. 13) Everyone. 14) Your wife. 15) Your husband.

  4. How Does Honor Come About? 1) It comes from God. 2) From doing good and righteous things. 3) Through being wise. 4) Through humility. 5) Through avoiding strife and quarreling. 6) Through pursuing righteousness and love. 7) Through the fear of the Lord. 8) Through working for the honor of God. 9) By directing the affairs of the church well.
