  1. High performance plastics are favorite materials used by auto parts exporters India in automotive industry these days. These plastics help in manufacturing more fuel efficient automotive. It is evaluated that every 10% reduction in the weight of the vehicle results in a 5% to 7% reduction in fuel use. Due to current environmental and economic concerns, manufacturers need to make more fuel efficient cars for consumers. This is why they mostly rely on high performance plastics that have other advantages also: Longer Life Minimal Corrosion Flexibility Substantial Design Freedom Safety, Comfort, Economy Recyclability Some high performance plastics used by professionals for automotive products are as under: 1.Polypropylene (PP): It is a thermoplastic polymer used in vivid applications. It is a saturated addition polymer derived from the monomer propylene. Polypropylene is rugged and resistant to several chemical solutions, acids, and bases.

  2. 2.Polyurethane (PUR): Solid Polyurethane is an elastomeric material having superior physical properties including flexibility, toughness, and resistance to temperature and abrasion. PUR has vast range of hardness to offer. It also has high flex life, weather resistance, oil resistance, radiation proof, gasoline resistance, etc. 3.PVC: PVC or poly vinyl chloride has great flexibility and thermal stability. It is flame retardant, and has a high gloss and low lead content. PVC compounds can be extruded, injection molded, calendered, blow molded and compression molded to create a vast range of profiles. These profiles can be hard or flexible, depending on the amount and type of plasticizers used by manufacturing team. 4.Polyamide: Nylon 6/6 is a common one that can be extruded and molded. It has great mechanical properties and wear resistance feature. It is used when an inexpensive, rigid, high mechanical strength and stable material is needed. Nylon is extremely water absorbent and will swell in watery environments. 5.Polyethylene: It has high impact resistant, low density, and great toughness. Manufacturers used this plastic in various thermoplastics processing methods for moisture resistance and inexpensive production. 6.POM or Polyoxymethylene: POM has superb stiffness, yield strength, and rigidity. The material is also resistant to fuel and is highly chemical. It can be used for interior and exterior trims making, small gears, and fuel systems. There are a lot more plastics used by Auto Parts Exporters India. You can get supreme finish products at good price from them with an ease.
