Housing a statue of Mother Mary on the altar along with several paintings depicting St. Francis Xavier’s life, the laterite Basilica has some sections dating back to 1521. The church bell is the 2nd largest in the world.

Known for its ornate interiors with intricate gilded designs on carved woodwork and frescoes depicting Biblical events, this 16th-century church holds religious significance.
