  2. Goddess of what? • Athena is the goddess of Wisdom, the goddess of warfare, strategy, the crafts, and reason. • She is a kind and caring goddess, but she has her bad sides.

  3. Her Birth • Athena was born in a strange way. • She was born out of her father’s head. She was born completely clothed with armor ready for battle.

  4. Why Athens is Called Athens • Both Athena And Poseidon both wanted the same city name after themselves. So Zeus decided for them to have a contest. Both were to give a gift to the towns people. • Poseidon created a well, it was beautiful but it only squirted out sea water. So it wasn’t that useful. • Athena gave the towns people an olive tree, which gave the people olives and olive oil. So Athena won.

  5. Athena the Inventor • Athena is a very liked goddess. She has given many gifts to man kind. • She invented the bridle, the trumpet, the flute, the pot, the rake, the plow, the yoke, the ship, and the chariot.

  6. The Parthenon • The Parthenon is one of Athena's temples. It is a very big very beautiful building. The Parthenon is in Athens.

  7. Embodiment • Athena is the embodiment of wisdom, reason, and purity. • So she is the reason for the little order there is in the world. • She is one of the three virgin goddess.

  8. Athena and Medusa • Medusa was very beautiful person, but she was very vain. One day she snuck into Athena’s temple. With her boyfriend Poseidon. • This angered Athena so to punish her by tuned her into a hideous monster.
