  1. How to Properly Motivate Employees By Rick Nunez

  2. Motivation • For a manager, motivating your employees is your job, and its one of the hardest things to do. • You need to push them hard enough to get performance but too hard and you will find yourself looking for new help.

  3. Goals and Quotas • As an employer you need to get things done, to improve your efficiency create goals and share them with your employees, make their goals your goals. • In order to make this three things have to be present. • 1.The goal has to be reachable, there are very few in this world that will push for the impossible. • 2. The goal must be achieved through the employees efforts, giving them control of it • 3. The employee needs to receive a reward, and it really needs to be more then a pat on the back or a free Coke.

  4. Maintaining Morale • Staff meetings • Have meetings with your staff discussing your goals as a team and as a company. • Get feedback from your employees, not all of their ideas are bad. • Goals and Parties • Achieve a department or company goal? CELEBRATE! A celebration for a goal accomplished is a great team strengthening experience, and it makes the employees feel happy and successful. After all, success breads success.

  5. Maintaining Morale An example of high morale • Give employees ownership, and make them accountable. • Giving the employee ownership over something give them a feeling of responsibility and makes them feel like they are part of the family, even if it as simple as putting someone in charge of the pop cooler.

  6. Sexual Harassment • Sexual harassment laws are there to do more then make it hard to date in the work place. • As a manager you need to remember you’re their to work, not make friends. • In order to make have a productive workforce you need to make them feel safe.

  7. Sexual Harassment Suggestions for dealing with Sexual harassment. • Establish and post a sexual harassment policy. • If a complaint is made, treat it seriously. • Get the information from the victim. • Document the meeting with the alleged victim. • Inform HR and your higher-ups of all the goings on.

  8. Thank You PEACE OUT!!!
