  3. Emergency care vs First Aid • Emergency care refers to immediate treatment administered for life-threatening conditions. • First Aid refers to treatment administered for injuries and illnesses that are not considered life-threatening.

  4. ABCs for assessing emergenceis • A: Airway • B: Brathing • C: Circulation

  5. Life-Threatening Conditions • Absence of Breathing • Airway Obstruction • Shock • Bleeding • Diabetes • Drowning • Electrical Shock • Head Injuries
