  5. Positive Performance • 90% • Genuinely praise those for doing the right thing • Evaluate yourself based on what you do when no one is watching • Ask: • How can we get others to do the same? • Listen

Expectations (At-Risk) • Not wearing PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs) • Reaching over, under, around a machine guard • Walking under a low hanging conveyor • Bypassing or removing guard without LOTO • Not winding up hoses after use • Not cleaning up after yourself • Blocking an exit, eye wash or fire extinguisher • Not using handrails when going up or down • Working at an unsafe speed • Lifting improperly (twisting, straight legs, heaving) • Cutting toward the body with cutting device

Expectations (Positive) • Cleaning up trash/liquid (slip/trip/fall correction) • Informing about hazards • Operating equipment safely (forklift) • Using handrails • Informing coworker if they forget PPE • Helping new employee learn the job safely • Stopping the line for hazard or quality issue • Assisting coworker with a heavy item • Stop spilled material from going into drain • Assisting in an emergency • Reinstruct noncompliant contractors/visitors • Encouraging coworkers to work safely
