  5. 1. What is it like to be living a “natural” life? 2. What is it like to be living God’s life ? 3. What is Original Sin? 4. What does Baptism do ? Original Sin 1. However hard we try, we are selfish, pleasure seeking, greedy creatures: it’s natural to be like that. This kind of living cannot get any better than the pleasure of food, warmth, sex, safety etc. 2. With God, we can be changed so we no longer find happiness by being selfish & pleasure seeking, but in living as God wants us to, loving Him and others. 3. Original Sin is the fact that we prefer being selfish & greedy, even if it means hurting others and going against God. It is hard for us to lose that attitude. • People often ask: “What is the difference between a “good” person, who tries to live their life doing good, and a Christian ? • What would you answer about the difference that Baptism makes to someone ? Does it mean that Christians will always be better people than non-Christians? 4. In Baptism, God’s power breaks us free from that secret selfishness, and from then on, His Spirit keeps on working within us, to make us like Jesus.

  6. Which is the odd one out? What have the others got in common?
