Base security is a Garrison Commander responsibility.
Goal - FIs not to be negatively impacted by base access requirements
Data call determined base access procedures and credentials are different at every base.
Data call determined that FIs on three installations have negatively been impacted.
OUSD(I) intends to meet with OUSD(AT&L I&E) to see if existing base support agreements cover security as a nonreimbursable expense for special communities.
Liaison officers should first contact base commanders if problems are noted; if not resolved, elevate to Service BLOs.
