  3. Introduction: • What are the elements of a quality curriculum? • How do those elements change in the international context? • Are certain models better suited for different modes of delivery, i.e., semester abroad, year abroad, study at a foreign institution?

  4. Efficiencies: • Faculty • Incentives • Fellowships/grants • Delivering in one context • Course sequencing • Material development

  5. Fundamental Goals & Learning Outcomes Students in dual degree programs should graduate with the ability to, among other things: • Understand the underlying assumptions of the legal traditions represented in the program • Identify, analyze, and resolve legal problems in a foreign legal system

  6. Better Approach Delivery--Content What To Avoid Simply giving a “laundry list” of the differences or similarities between legal traditions Core content Focus on underlying assumptions of legal tradition Compare & contrast approaches to highlight these assumptions
