  1. Russian revolution key figures By Will, Max, Katrina and Tiffany.

  2. Tsar Nicholas ii • Born 18th May 1868 • Poor leader during the Russian Revolution • Known as cruel • Sometimes kind (this was very rare) • Died 17th July 1918 • Tsar Nicholas II is very much alike Mr Jones in animal farm. As described above they both show these traits and it’s very clear that George Orwell most likely based Mr Jones off of Tsar Nicholas II.

  3. Karl Marx • Born 5th May 1818 • Invented communism • Dies before the Russian revolution • Wanted to take over the government • “Workers of the world unite” • Died 14th March 1883 • Karl Marx shows a resemblance to Old Major. Old Major taught the animals Animalism just how Marx taught communism. Both died before the revolution. They both also had a plan to take over the authorities to better the place they live in.

  4. Leon Trotsky • Born 7th November 1879 • Followed Marx in communism “pure communist” • Wanted to improve life for all of Russia • Chased away by Vladimir Lenin’s secret police (KGB) • Died 20th August 1940 • Snowball shows a very clear resemblance to Leon Trotsky, both of them wanted what was better for their country and they were also very loyal followers to their leaders to their choice of political living. However, before they could enjoy any sort of revolution, they were both chased away by a bigger power.

  5. Joseph Stalin • Born 21st December 1879 • Not educated like Trotsky, not a good public speaker • Didn’t follow communism • Cared power, killed any whom opposed him • Used the KGB, church and propaganda to control the choice of people • Died 5th March 1953 • Napoleon is exactly like Joseph Stalin, they both love to be in power and will not stand for anyone getting in their way of domination. They will go to the extreme to make sure that they keep their power. Their political and social ideas were driven only on power and very little else.
