  2. Introduction – Chris Piercy Feedback from the November Forum CCG future plans Find out what is going in the area regarding Children, Young People and Families. Meet some of the team from the Gateshead Older Peoples Assembly. Healthwatch news & update Reminders – Please complete your evaluation form at the end of the session

Feedback from November Forum • The Forum was well attended – it would be helpful to register your attendance with Jayne • Although attendance was high there were no new members • All presentations well received by everyone, the majority of people were able to express their views and ask questions. • The format of the meeting was viewed as positive

Planning for 2019 and beyond The NHS long term plan – thank you to those that contributed • 1 year operational plan due this Dec 2018 • 5 year strategic plan – ready for the summer 2019 Areas that will be covered in this; • Possible life stage approach to narrative • Early Life, Staying Healthy and Aging Well 2. Focus on clinical priorities: • Cancer, CVD and Respiratory, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Autism 3. Enablers to delivery • workforce, primary care, digital innovation and technology, research and innovation and engagement

Children Young People and Families • School assemblies across Newcastle and Gateshead for Year 9 students • Working with education colleagues to reduce absenteeism in schools by allowing schools to link with the child's GP practice for key health needs including asthma plans • Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Written Statement of Action approved • Single Point of Access for Children Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)

  7. Urgent Care Engagement - Completed The final report will be shared in January 2019, alongside an update from the CCG, and a response to questions raised during the engagement. Slight delay in publication due to the need to consider information, and take account of impact of festive season as a poor time to publish findings. The report will be shared with the PPCEF and Involvement Forum once published.

  8. Children, Young People and Parents Mental Health Engagement A map of all groups supporting Children, Young People and Parents across Newcastle and Gateshead has been completed. We then identified best practice around engaging with Children, Young People and Parents. Planning is now underway to set up an ongoing approach to engaging with Children, Young People and Parents across Newcastle and Gateshead.

  9. Invite to the Governing Body Meeting You are all welcome to attend the next meeting which will be taking place on 29th January 2019 12.30-4.00pm at Gateshead Civic Centre Members of the Forum Steering Group will be in attendance to share their progress
