Engineering & Construction Management Department JanuaryReport, 2012 EPIA Runway 8R-26L & Taxiway L Extension & Reconstruction of Taxiway W • General Project Description: The project will consist of the extension of Runway 8R-26L 1,100 feet to the east as well as the extension of Taxiway L to the east by approximately 1,100 feet, new runway and taxiway lighting for the extensions and a new hold pad for Runway 26L. Construction Activities: • Substantial completion walk-thru conducted. • Contractor removing and replacing cracked concrete panels not meeting FAA specs. • Sub-contractor pending receipt and installation of transformers. • FAA flight check has been completed.
