  1. Madame Tussaud’s: How to Get There and What to See Madame Tussaud, a French sculptress who fled to London after the terrifying Revolution, managed to make a name for herself even in a foreign country. In fact, her wax sculptures continued to amaze famous personalities even after her death. With over 24 Madame Tussaud Wax Cabinet Museums worldwide, the London flagship remains to be the original and most visited site. The wax cabinet welcomes people of all ages. However, children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. It doesn’t seem surprising that the wax museum is strict with accommodations. There are hundreds of life- life wax figures of celebrities, politicians, and monarchs that could give tots quite a scare! Some of the wax figures you’ll see there are those of actress and fashion icon Audrey Hepburn, boxing legend Muhammad Ali, filmmaker Steven Spielberg, and soccer star David Beckham. In addition, the museum also features various themes, such as royal icons, literary giants, and pop stars.

  2. The tour also includes a walk through London’s history and culture. Witness before your very eyes, the Great Plague in the 14th century, the fire of London, the wartime speeches of Winston Churchill, and the Sixties era. How to Get There Madame Tussaud’s Wax Cabinet is located at Marylebone Road, London. It’s flanked by Baker Street and York Terrace. If you ever get lost, just look for Planet Hollywood, which is situated nearby. If you’re coming from North London, there are 6 ways to get to Madame Tussaud’s. The cheapest option is to take Line 113 bus. You can also take a bus at Child’s Hill, and then get off Marylebone Road. A faster route is to take the bus and get off at South Hampstead, and then take the train at Finchley Road Station. You’ll get to Baker Street Station in just six minutes. From there you can just walk to Madame Tussaud’s. To shorten your travel time, you can also take a cab or a Grab car. However, it is always advisable to book a stay somewhere in the center of the city like any of the hotels near Kensington London to avoid spending fare on travelling. Schedules On a normal day, Madame Tussaud’s opens at 9am and closes at 4pm. The museum is busy on peak times and holidays, and schedules are extended to 6pm. During those times, visitors are advised to come after 3pm to avoid the rush. The museum is also closed on Christmas Day. Ticket Price Tickets for adults cost £32, while those for children between 3 and 15 years of age cost £27. Admission is free for infants. The tickets are also classified into six types, with corresponding variations in the price. Visitors may purchase walk-in tickets, or buy them in advance. There are advance purchase priority tickets, and advance purchase stage door fast track tickets as well. Some tours offer combination tickets (a trip to Madame Tussaud’s and to other major city attractions), while other companies give away third party discounted tickets.
