  3. ARE YOU THE ONE? • Let us be grateful for Gods blessings • Depend on Him for existence, Acts 17:28 • He gives every good thing, Jas. 1:17 • He provides salvation, 1 Jn. 5:11

  4. ARE YOU THE ONE? Obedience Brings Blessings Christ’s Ability To Cleanse Few Show Gratitude

  5. ARE YOU THE ONE? Obedience Brings Blessings • Ten lepers followed Jesus’ instruction • Command given: go to priests • Command obeyed: they went • Blessing received: they were cleansed

  6. ARE YOU THE ONE? Obedience Brings Blessings • The Lord demands obedience, Ecc. 12:13 • To observe all, Mt. 28:18-20 • Man must act, Phil. 2:12 • Not just hope • Not just believe

  7. ARE YOU THE ONE? Obedience Brings Blessings • Salvation comes through obedience, • Heb. 5:9 • For redemption, Acts 6:7 • For fellowship, Gal. 3:1; 5:7; 2 Thes. 3:14 • Disobedience brings wrath, • Rom. 2:8; 6:16, 17; 2 Thes. 1:8

  8. ARE YOU THE ONE? Christ’s Ability To Cleanse • Leprosy was incurable • Forced separation from society • Caused suffering • Contracted for years

  9. ARE YOU THE ONE? Christ’s Ability To Cleanse • Sin is “incurable” • Forced separation from God, 1 Jn. 1:5, 6 • Causes great suffering • Guilt, Psa. 38:3-5 • Conflict, Gal. 5:19-21 • Emptiness, Lk. 15:11-16

  12. ARE YOU THE ONE? Few Show Gratitude • Only one leper returned to thank Jesus, • Lk. 17:15, 16 • Immediate • Glorified God • Gave thanks • A Samaritan

  13. ARE YOU THE ONE? Few Show Gratitude • For what are we thankful, Eph. 5:20 • Improved health • Material blessings • Family who loves you • Not having more • Not getting a job • Salvation
