  3. Why is it Celebrated ? • Juneteenth is celebrated to Praise the day of when, the African Americans were freed from slavery due to the Emancipation Proclamation.

  4. Where is Juneteenth celebrated? Juneteenth is celebrated in twenty nine states. some including: Texas California Vermont Arkansas New York Massachusetts Alaska Louisiana Idaho

  5. How is it Commemorated? • Juneteenth is traditionally Commemorated by a variety of different parades in festivals in different Cities and states. • It is usually celebrated in a park or outdoor space. • The dishes usually consist of : Barbeque Chitlins Pies Watermelon fried chicken cakes
