  2. Word Problems #1 • It takes you 10 minutes to wash one car and it takes a friend 8 minutes to wash one car. How many minutes does it take the two of you to wash 1 car together?

  4. Word Problems #2 The bill for repairing your car was $410. The repairman charges you $40 per hour and you must pay 50% of the cost of parts. The repairman spent $500 for new parts. How many hours did the repair work take?

  6. Word Problems #3 It takes you 45 minutes to rake the leaves in your yard and your brother 1 and a half hours. How many minutes does it take the two of you to rake the yard if you work together?

  8. Word Problem #4 A salesperson at a jewelry store has a base salary of $150 per day. The sales person receives 25% commission on every sale. If the sales person wants to make $600 in one day, how many dollars worth of jewelry must the sales person sell?

  12. Word Problem #6 • Jim and his two brothers are trying to save $250 to buy their mother a gift. One of the brothers works 6 hours per week and makes $8 per hour. The other brother works 10 hours per week and makes $9.50 per hour. If Jim makes $7 per hour, how many hours must he work in order for the boys to earn the $250 needed to buy the gift?
