Missouri State Employee Stress/Depression 2013 Employee Health Assessment data indicate state employees suffer from stress and/or depression at a much higher rate than the National average. - January of 2013, 62% of state employees self- reported that they experienced a significant degree of stress. - Same time frame, 26% reported being depressed. What this means is one in four state employees believe they suffer from depression.

  3. Missouri State Employee Stress/Depression State employees do not actively seek out treatment proportioned to their diagnosis of stress and depression. - 1.5% of those that reported being stressed participated in a stress management program - 2% of depressed employees sought counseling

  4. Missouri State Employee Stress/Depression ComPsych utilization reports: ComPsych states 6% of all state employees participated in an EAP program last year. HR Managers continue to be one of the top referral sources for the EAP programs. ComPsych suggests that their specialized training for supervisors and HR managers be utilized more frequently
