  1. EXCHANGEEMPOLI - UDEN • by • Belli Carlo Alberto, Boldrini Giulio, Bonci Giacomo, Peruzzi Jacopo, Ulivi Michele

  2. Dutch students in Empoli • In February Dutch students came to Empoli to visit Italy. • They stayed at our houses for a week. • We had a lot of fun together.

  3. Our days together • When Dutch students arrived we had a welcome party. • On Wednesday we went to Florence and on Thursday we visited Pisa. • On Friday morning we explained to our partners the history of Empoli and in the afternoon we visited the Leonardo da Vinci museum, in Vinci. • On Saturday and on Sunday we had family days.

  4. Florence and Pisa • Italian students acted as guides and explained the history of the most important statues and monuments of the two cities. • We were very lucky because the weather was good.

  5. The Piaggio museum • On Thursday we went to the Piaggio museum in Pontedera. • Dutch students were very impressed about the several kinds of Vespa. • The Italian guide couldn’t speak English very well.

  6. Museum of Leonardo • After we had spent our morning in Empoli, we went to the museum of Leonardo in Vinci. The guide was our Italian teacher, who explained very well the way the machinery, Leonardo drew during his lifetime, worked.

  7. Sport at school • On Saturday we played sport at school. Italian and Dutch boys played football, girls played volleyball. • Italian students won all the football matches (this was the best Dutch player....so we won....)

  8. Disco on Saturday night (Italy) • The Italian students decided to take the Dutch to Jaiss in Sovigliana. • We danced a lot and we had a good time together, the disco was full of people because that day was Valentine’s day.

  9. AND NOW......NETHERLANDS!

  10. Arrival in Uden... • The flight was OK, and we arrived at Eindhoven’s airport on time. • Then we had the coach that took us to the school where the Dutch students had organized a nice welcome party... • At night, we went all together to “Ons Caffee”. That night it rained...

  11. Uden: the tour • Very early in the morning we started our tour by bike and we went firstly to the religious art museum (that was very boring...); secondly we cycled to the centre of Uden where we painted something about religion with our partners. • To eat something for dinner we went to a Pancake restaurant. • We spent our evening in the same pub of the first night.

  12. Disco on Saturday night (in the Netherlands) • For all morning we did some sport activities, as football and volleyball... The field was very big. • After some hours of free-time, we met all together at a peculiar disco: Time Out, that has 8 halls.

  13. A Funny Day • Dutch students took us to a very, very funny place: Efteling. • There we had a lot of fun all day.

  14. Amsterdam: the city of freedom • On the fifth day we visited the most famous city in the Netherlands: we had a canal tour, we went to the Van Gogh Museum (it wasn’t well organized...) and we went shopping. • A particular thing that happened was the pick- pocketing of a wallet.

  15. The last day... • ...we did some activities on the school’s computers (there were a lot, not like in Italy...); then we went to Nijmegen, where we visited especially the bike museum (where there was the ‘Eeh’ man!). In the end we met each other at Sophie’s house, Claudia’s partner, where we had farewell party.

  16. Then the airplane took off...BYE BYE Netherlands!!!
