  1. Electronic Verification of Rent Community Housing Organisations - 2011 Centrelink – Housing and Immediate Payments

EVoR- what does it do? • The EVoR service will allow Community Housing Organisations to provide to Centrelink with accurate and timely RENT details for their customer who also receive Commonwealth Rent Assistance. • The CHOs will need to request consent from each individual to collect and provide this information to Centrelink, and advise the customer when they plan to do so. • The Rent details provided will then be used by Centrelink to update the customers Accommodation Circumstance information, and reassess their ongoing eligibility and entitlement for Commonwealth Rent Assistance

What do CHO’s have to do? • All CHO’s who wish to participate will need to: • apply to Centrelink for access to the EVoR service • be granted access to EVoR service(s) • obtain written consent from each individual, and retain and mange this consent • prepare the information for passing to Centrelink • monitor the Organisational Online Mail in box for EVoR Reports on the data provided

  4. What services may CHO’s access? There are 3 separate functions offered within the EVoR service and the ‘rights and obligations’ and the schedules to be completed by CHOs will vary dependent upon the functions applied for, and granted access to. • Organisational Online Mail – EVoR Bulk entry - This function allows CHOs to • exchange specified data file to update a customers’ Rent amount paid, and • vary a customers’ existing Centrepay deduction • for ‘Community Housing Rent’ with their organisation. • Unified Government Gateway – EVoR -Rent Assistance update – This allows CHOs to • identify a ‘mutual customer ; and • input specified data to update a customers’ Rent amount paid • for ‘Community Housing Rent’ with their organisation. • Unified Government Gateway – EVoR - Centrepay details update - This allows CHOs to • identify a ‘mutual customer ; and • input specified data to vary a customers’ Centrepay Deduction, and • for ‘Community Housing Rent’ with their organisation.
