  3. Research facts The Dust Bowel In the great plains of Oklahoma, Texas, northeastern New Mexico, and Southern Colorado a huge draft terrorized these places. It was a huge dust storm that that destroyed crops and made living very difficult. Millions of people were force to leave their homes, many of them died or fell sick. This started the great depression. In 1932 the wind picked up and turned the skies to become black from all the dust that was being blown everywhere. All crops were destroyed, so cattle was either killed or sold. People had wear mask, put wet sheets over their homes, the dust buried cars and houses like snow. It traveled further affecting more place around the world. However, President Franklin D Roosevelt created the Drought relief service, buying livestock, food handouts, and relief checks to help families out who were struggling the most. After the skies cleared in 1939 when the rain finally came, people started to get mysterious diseases. They had trouble breathing and most people fell too sick and died. Millions of people went to California to get a new job and start over. This day affected millions of people; it’s one of these memories that will never be forgotten.

  4. Research facts Hitler Annexes Australia March 12 1938 German troops marched into Austria to annex the German speaking nation for the third Reich. Austrian Nazis conspired for the second time to seize the Austrian government by force and unite the nation with the Nazi German Chancellor Kurt Von. He meets with Nazis leader Hitler to try to reassert his country’s independence, but instead was bullied into naming several top Austrian Nazis to be killed. On March 9th they called a meeting with Hitler to resolve everything. However, Hitler bullied them again making them fall into pressure and resign. On March 12thHitler came into Austria with German troopsagain and appointed a new government. On march 13th this new government was proclaimed. Austria existed as a federal state of Germany until the end of World War II. When the allied powers declared and requested their independence. They finally got their independence in 1945.

  5. Research facts The Spanish civil war This war was fought on July 17th 1936-april 1939 between republicans and the nationalist led by François Franco. They wanted to rule Spain for 39 years. It began when the Spanish republican armed forces generals made a declaration of opposition against elected government of the second Spanish republic. They wanted a war of attrition because they wanted control of the country. They requested support from the Nazi Germany and the kingdom of Italy. Tons of thousands of civilians were killed on both sides. The war ended with the victory of the nationalists and exile of thousand of Spaniards. This war was not a major war, but was still conspired important. The end of this war however, was the beginning of world war II.
