  2. What is the Great Depression Took place from 1929-1939 Wall street crash Unemployment went from 8 million to 15 million

  3. Who did the great depression affect • 40% of the farms in Mississippi were put on the auction block. • Harlem had an unemployment rate of 50%. • And property owned by blacks went from 30% to 5%.

  4. How did it affect people. • People got laid off. • Put out on the streets • It even effected children.

  5. How severe was the great depression. • Unemployment went from 4 million to 8 million. • moved to shacks made from boxes. • Moved to caves.

  6. What caused the wall street crash. • Too much supply, not enough demand. • Prices went down. • America gave loans to Europe. Later realized needed money back. • European banks caused a financial crisis.
